Struggling Tanning Salons Seek Ray of Hope Released : May 2, 2010
Tanning profits are decreasing, and salon owners are feeling the pinch, as fewer new customers are willing to pay for the service because the UVA rays emitted by tanning beds have been linked to melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. Executive Director, Victoria Elliott, comments on the DNA’s support of more stringent laws and federal tax on indoor tanning.
