Purpose: To encourage a DNA member to go to the National DNA Convention for the first time.

Criteria: The candidate must:

  1. Be a DNA member for at least one full year.
  2. Be a first time convention attendee
  3. Attend one of the preconvention workshops
  4. As the winner, write an article about their experience at the convention.

Submit: The candidate shall submit:

  1. An essay explaining which workshop they wish to attend and why; and what they hope to gain from attending the convention.
  2. Letters of recommendation from employers and / or peers.
  3. A completed application.

Award: $350 scholarship towards convention registration and preconvention fee.
